I was at work thinking to myself "hmm, 2008 brought a lot of good ass fucking music that every gay man can appreciate. But which ones are the top 25 that I love to get freak nasty to when dancing in a club!? So here is my top 25 favorite gay club hits of 2008!!! From bottom to top [of course that's how you gays like it anyway!
#1 “4 Minutes” Madonna
Of course Madge returned and returned big! She has changed her sound again from dance music to a bit more hip hop and she had the big guns with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, which definitely made this song a club banger.
#2”I Kissed A Girl” Katy Perry
The best way to breakout is to breakout with an amzing hit. This song appeals to everyone straights, gays, bisexuals, boys and girls! The beat isn’t bad either. Whenever this comes on at a club, I saw everyone dance. Hell I still dance to it when it comes on in my car.
#3“Don’t Stop The Music” Rihanna [Jody Den Broeder Edit]
The original version is amazing don’t get me wrong but this remix of it put this song over ‘the top! This had to be one of her best singles. This is “SOS” Part 2
#4 “When I Grow Up” Pussycat Dolls
Some gays have said to me that this song is silly and the PCD don’t have what they had before when they first came out which is true. But “When I Grow Up” kind of reminds us of what we used to love about them. Their upbeat, over sexual club banging hits.
#5 “Feedback” Janet Jackson
This song actually came out Dec 27, 2007 but whats four days. This is Janet’s best single on her album ‘Discipline’ which is a bit of a disappointment. But this song has great dance roots and is just as good as “So Excited” and “All Night [Don’t Stop]”
#6 “Damaged” Danity Kane
This has to definitely be the gayest song of 2008 from the lyrics even to the video. This was DK’s best single of 2008 that is for sure.
#7 ”Disturbia” Rihanna
Rihanna is bigger than ever before and whatever Rihanna puts out is going to be a hit. “Disturbia” was no different. Even though the video is a little on the crazy side the song is an excellent one to dance to!!
#8 “Ching A Ling” Missy Elliott
Lets face it, a gay knows what other gays want lol. This was practically the one of two singles we got from Missy Elliott. Missy always has a history of creating the club hits especially at gay clubs. When I heard this song I played it everyday!!
#9 “Poker Face” Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is our savior! Shes the hybrid of Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera and I love that! Her album is pure dance/hip hop/pop and that’s the formula for a god gay song. “Poker Face” is no exception. Lady Gaga is the total package and she’s on the rise!
#10 “Elevator” Flo Rida feat Timbaland
Flo Rida has been so hot in 2008! “Elevator” is his best song that’s for sure. It has gay appeal 100%, even though it doesn’t have gay context the beat alone has the gays going.
#11 “Universal Mind Control” Common feat Pharell
The sexy ass Common has broken into the club scene with this song. I blast it everyday in my car I love it! But the car does it no justice you have to dance to it at a club!
#12 “Drop” Ying Yang Twins
This is another song where the beat alone is just way too fucking HOT! The lyrics are great too but this was obviously set to be a club song and I definitely appreciate that. This was the ‘freak nasty’ song for a few weeks.
#13 “Go Girl” Ciara feat T-Pain
The video is hot, the song is hot, Ciara is on fire!! That’s all that needs to be said
#14 “Just Dance” Lady Gaga
This was our introduction to Lady Gaga and she had Akon and Colby O’ Donis in the song which gave her an immediate boost she needed. The song is pretty good too!!
#15 “Party People” Nelly feat Fergie
Was I the only one disappointed with Fergie’s “Clumsy”? So I was so happy to see her with Nelly tearing this song up! Nelly is looking sexy as hell as usual.
#16 “Swagga Like Us” T.I./ Jay Z
This song features a ton of rappers and of course the fabulous M.I.A. I haven’t seen a video for the song yet but the track is still great to dance to.
#17 “A Milli” Lil Wayne
This song is always weird to me but the beat is just a club banger. Everyday Lil Wayne gets gayer and gayer. With his skinny jeans and now his lip ring lol.
#18 “Womanizer” Britney Spears
This time Britney is back for real for real. But ‘Blackout’ was a great ass album. This single however of course is talking about K-Fed. At least that’s what I get from it. Britney just has appeal to the gays so of course this song is played at clubs.
#19 “Live Your Life” T.I. featRihanna
T.I. is sexy and Rihanna is of course on top right now.
#20 “Break The Ice” Britney Spears
The last single from “Blackout” this of course is a good as s song. I wish the video actually had Britney in it. But that is okay because the song is good enough! [not actual video below]
#21 “Return The Favor” Keri Hilson
Keri Hilson is still somewhat relatively new and she is still banging. This single is a lot better than her original one. It is pretty nice to dance to, Not a 100% club banger though and I see shades of Rihanna, J-Lo, Brandy, and Michael/Janet “Scream” in this video.
#22 “Reach Out” Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff really appealed to the gay crowd the minute we heard her first big single “With Love” and she’s definitely done it again with “Reach Out” She took a classic Depeche Mode song and remade it and is working it!
#23 ”Green Light” John Legend
I am going to come out of the closet and say im not a John Legend fan but the man is definitely attractive!!!! I do love Andre 3000 however. Andre definitely made this son for me that’s for damn sure.
#24”If I Never See Your Face Again” Maroon 5 feat. Rihanna
This song is great because it is more on the pop side than rock and of course Rihanna takes it over the edge and brings the gays on board with this song…That is if they aren’t already dropping their pants over Maroon 5’s lead singer
#25 "Single Ladies" Beyonce
Although I am not a Beyonce fan the beat for the song is pretty good and when the keyboard chimes in its really nice. But her singing I could do without. I had to add this because the majority of gays are beyonce fans and so of course they love this song
