Money Burns

In order to gain overtime french firefighters have been starting Forest fires! The over time is $27 an hour. Hell that is hot but not to fight a fire for that much. But they were getting paid $57 an hour during holidays.

The men, ages 22 and 25, admitted to starting the fires on those days north of Ajaccio in Corsica so they could earn the bonus payments by fighting the blazes. One fire was serious enough to require a Canadair plane to fight it. These men can face up to 15 years in prison for arson.
