Los Angeles Radio Change

97.1 Free FM the only FM talk radio station in Los Angeles, CA is going bye bye as of 5pm Friday. This change is going to affect not only the disc jockeys but the listening audience as well. Even though I live in Atlanta which does not have a good talk station so I listen to 97.1 online.

The Adam Corolla Show, Frosty Heidi & Frank, Tom Lykis, Tim Conway Jr. and John & Jeff, will be off the air this Friday. Tom Lykis has been around for so long I am sure he is going to find another show.

97.1 has been around for ages but changed to the FM talk format in 1995. But nearly 13 years later all good things must come to an end. The reason I am most upset is because Frosty, Heidi, and Frank was 4 hours of good times, hilarious times, drunk times. So you better download as much of the podcast as you can.

On Friday the station becomes a part of AMP FM which is Top 40 mustowards the younger crowd. When it comes to talk radio my suggestions for you are the Feast of Fools. That is a podcast you can listen to whenever you like. I have been listening to the show since 2005. I would also recommend the Kevin and Bean Morning Show [now that is a funny ass show from 7am to 10am].

That is of course if you live in Los Angeles. But you can get CBS Radio online and I would suggest the Frank & Wanda Show. There is a possibility I love that show because Wanda keeps it real hood all the time she is always funny but she is serious when she needs to be. There is also Miss Sophie which is a transsexual that reports on Pop culture news shes pretty funny. Check it out!
