Girlfriends still Popular

Tracy Ellen Ross of the television show Girlfriends recently won a NAACP Image Award. The show aired in 2000 on then UPN/CW. Lets be honest it was a good as show. You can still catch it on syndication but it isn't the same. I actually remember it used to come on Monday at 9pm. Girlfriends was truly a good show. One of the longest syndicated shows in UPN History for the new millennium.

Jill Marie Jones [Tonni] left the show and it was not the same after that but still a good ass show! Of course there's 'The Game; which is a spin-off but it is not the same. Girlfriends appeals to the gay man in every person! Golden Brooks recently wrote in her blog about a Girlfriends Movie which we would all love. Have a look below!

I have sat down and talked with alot of producers about bringing 'Girlfriends' to the big screen. The 'Sex & The City' movie really did well. And many of you know that 'GFs' is the african-american version of that show. So to make a long story short we are trying to bring it to the silver screen and take care of the unfinished business. Alot of things were just left hanging. I just want you guys to be patient."
