One thing I have noticed over the past year or so is that the whole "Circus" theme is very very popular. Artists like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Beyonce, T-Pain, even P!nk has done a circus theme to go along with their music.
I never really got what it is about the circus that is so popular but check out these pics to prove my point lol.

There is also T-Pain. Hes taken it the furthest I think. He showed up at the VMA awards on an elephant and his entourage look like clowns and you cannot forget hes always wearing that top hat. But here he is.
